Gronkie has left the building

MONTREAL – The Pats Nation is in mourning right now. Their beloved Rob Gronkowski has announced his retirement on Instagram.

You may ask to yourself, “Why is she following Gronkowski on Instagram if she has been a fan of the Steelers from birth?”

My answer is simple. I like Gronkowski. He is funny and he was a one of a kind tight end player.

I may not like his employers, but I do like his determination to give it everything he has on the field.

Jim Trotter from NFL.Com wrote an interesting comment. He wondered if Gronk could be considered the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) tight end in NFL history. He said, and I quote:

Gronkowski is worthy of Hall of Fame consideration — and, likely, will one day wear a gold jacket. But, to categorically label him THE GREATEST tight end of all time is the height of disrespect to men like John Mackey, Ozzie Newsome, Kellen Winslow Sr., Shannon Sharpe, Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates.

It was a little predictable that this past season would be Gronkowski’s last season despite him being a young 29 years old. He has accumulated so many injuries in his career.

It’s better to retire when you are on top (we can’t forget that the Pats won another Super Bowl this year!).

So what will happen next?

Could he be a broadcaster?

He does have the charisma for it.

Could he be a actor like the Rock, Dwayne Johnson?

Can you smell what the Gronk is cooking?!? Hahaha – Can you picture him using Dwayne Johnson’s famous quote?

Or, could he be in the wrestling world as a commentator? Or, even better, as a manager of a wrestler? Why would he be interested in being part of the wrestling world? It’s a simple answer: because he is a HUGE wrestling fan!

Oh yeahhh…

I will wish Gronkie, as the sweet Vivian Brady called him, a well-deserved retirement. He can send me my invitation for his retirement party by email. I will gladly come and give Bill Belichick, the head coach of the New England Patriots, my most intimidating look!

I know it won’t scare him, but still. For those who don’t know Bill Belichick, he is always moody during press conferences. Just google his face when a journalist asks him a question.

Let me tell you, it’s intimidating!

I really hope I will be invited to Gronk’s retirement party. I will bring cupcake. *Hint, Hint*

Even if Gronk was a headache for my Steelers army, I will miss him on the field.

I have a feeling we will see Gronkie on TV or coming to a big screen near you.
