MONTREAL – Good morning my fellow Chronicle army.
Before starting this brand new day, I would like to say a few words to the members of the press, the members of our society.
Ladies and gentlemen, can we be a little bit more compassionate and respectful with each other?
Can we have some boundaries with each other?
Can we focus on spreading less fake news and more accurate news with a positive message?
Can we respect the privacy of other human beings since we sure want people to respect our own privacy? Right!?
Can we stop bullying people to get more clicks?
This brings people into isolation, depression and death.
Can we?
I’m f****** tired of the perpetual bullying in the press. Look at what you have done to Caroline Flack! Look at what you have done to Diana, Princess of Wales! Look at what you have tried to do to Harry, Meghan and Archie! Look at what have you have done to millions of people!
We are more than tired of this shit. We need to scream louder against bullying and not only in the press, but at work, at home, at school, and at our places of worship (yes, trust me, it does happen). This is a fight I will keep fighting until my last breath.
You won’t care for the words I just wrote, but a lot of the Chronicle army will care. Bullying is a very serious matter, something really close to my heart. Enough is f****** enough!Yes, I wrote f****** and I drink my green tea.

Who’s with me?!
I know Tessy Ojo, the CEO of The Diana Award, is with me.
I know Nicholas Nikiforou, a young motivational speaker and very inspiring man, is with me.
I know Lysa Heslov, founder of the Children Mending Hearts Foundation, is with me.
Are you with us in making this world a lot more compassionate toward each other?
On a positive note, I can’t wait for you guys to read some cools posts this week. We will talk about the NBA All-Stars game; why Canada is the best (hm, almost) country in the world, even in the winter (ok, I must be smoking something illegal but legal in Canada to write this nonsense about the fact that even in minus 40, Canada is the best country in the world) and some other shenanigans.
For all the drummers out there, did you read Dan Lamontagne’s posts? The Scientist is on fire with his articles.
Also, let’s not forget about our famous, main star of the Chronicle family. He is educating us in French about everything that is going on in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and hopefully in the curling world (I’m still working on it). He is Donnie Disco aka The Educated Fool!

I will share a little secret with you guys: my goal in 2020 is to bring more young men and women from the ages of 10 to 100 to collaborate with us by writing inspiring, funny, and authentic posts.
Actually, to be good journalists, we need to focus more on authenticity instead of the back-stabbing and mean-spiritedness that seem to bring the worst in people.
Sounds like a good goal to achieve?
All together, let’s change the face of journalism in 2020!
Good morning and good luck (a shoutout to Edward R. Murrow, a true legend).
